Kitchen Tool Printing

This is one of the simplest art invitations to set up. Just open all your kitchen drawers and cabinets and grab a few tools! Fun for ages 1 and up.

You will need:

• Paper or sheet to paint on

• Washable paint

• Trays, jars or cups to hold paint

• Kitchen tools like forks, butter knives, straws, small cups, wavy chopper, cookie cutters, spatulas, etc.

Here we are doing this activity in one of my mixed age classes this past summer.

To set up this invitation:

• Gather kitchen items in a tray

• Set out paper and paint

• Kids can dip items directly in paint or use a paintbrush to coat them

• Use kitchen items like stamps- that’s it!

• For older children you can suggest they create a scene (forks can creat grass or sun rays, etc)
